About these terms

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Dave” mean Awesome School of Motoring. “You” means the learner or, where appropriate, the person arranging or paying for the lessons. These terms apply to lessons arranged with Awesome School of Motoring in Derby and the surrounding area.

Prices and payment

Current standard lesson prices shown on this website are £45 per hour or £400 for a block of ten hours. Prices and availability should always be confirmed with Dave before booking. Payment arrangements for individual lessons, blocks and any other agreed costs will be explained before lessons are confirmed.

Bookings and availability

A lesson is only booked once Dave has confirmed the date, time, duration and any payment arrangements with you. Lesson times are subject to availability. If your circumstances, goals or availability change, please let Dave know as early as possible so suitable arrangements can be discussed.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Cancellation notice, rescheduling and any block-booking or refund arrangements will be agreed and confirmed before payment is taken. If Dave needs to cancel or rearrange a lesson, reasonable notice will be given where possible and an alternative lesson or an appropriate refund of fees paid for an undelivered lesson will be discussed.

If a lesson needs to be stopped or cannot go ahead because it would be unsafe or unlawful to continue, Dave will explain the reason and discuss the next appropriate step with you.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you hold the appropriate valid licence and meet the legal requirements to take driving lessons. You should tell Dave about anything that could affect your ability to drive safely, such as a relevant change to your licence or eyesight. Please arrive ready for the agreed lesson time and follow reasonable safety instructions during tuition.

The lesson car and practical test

Lessons are normally delivered in the manual Ford Fiesta. The use of the car for a practical driving test is subject to Dave’s agreement, vehicle availability, your readiness to take the test and any applicable DVSA requirements. Any terms or charges relating to test-day use of the car will be confirmed in advance.

Service standards and complaints

Dave will provide tuition with reasonable care and skill. If you have a concern about a lesson, booking or payment, please raise it as soon as possible by emailing [email protected] or calling 07773 372305. We will aim to resolve it fairly and promptly.

Website information

We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate, but lesson availability, prices and coverage can change. Information on the website is a guide and does not form a binding booking until it has been confirmed directly with Dave.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when a lesson is booked will apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
